Specialising in Fire Resistant Anti-Static (FRAS) Certified PU products, JSIS holds several MDG 3608, FRAS certificates. These certificates certified by a NATA Accredited Test Facility are for the manufacture of Minor Conveyor Accessories, Ventilation Sheeting and Non-Defined Applications of PU products as outlined in the MDG 3608 guidelines which is expected by the ever-evolving industry and safety demands of Australia’s underground mining companies.
FRAS is added to PU mixes during the manufacturing process as it reduces the potential for the PU product to sustain a flame or generate a static charge that could become an ignition source, hence it being widely used and chosen by the underground mining industry.
